Working at Height

Course Aims & Target Group:


Course Overview:

Work at Height Regulations provide awareness of the range of fall protection equipment together with practical experience in the use of the equipment. The course includes correct fitting of a safety harness combined with a variety of fall protection equipment. Working methods include restraint, work positioning and fall arrest using both fixed and temporary methods. The course will also discuss the hierarchy of fall prevention and protection measures set out in the Work at Height Regulations.

1 day


Aims & Structures:

The aim of this course is to introduce and update personnel of the regulations and reoccurring hazards associated with Working at Heights. Training is delivered by theoretical and practical demonstration to enhance the delegate’s awareness of equipment and precautions required when planning and implementing tasks requiring working at heights.



Course Content:


    During the training the following subjects will be covered:

    Regulations regarding Working at Heights

    Regulations regarding Lifting equipment ( LOLER)

    Risk avoidance

    Selection of equipment for Working at Heights .

    Personal Protective Equipment

    Inspection of equipment

    Safety Harnesses, correct use and inspection


Certification


Allied Training Certificate will be provided on completion on the Training
