RTITB Forklift Novice Training -
This course is designed to raise the standards and improving safety for all levels of driver from novice to instructor, and can be tailored to the customers' specific requirements. Basic training for a novice will take five days based on our maximum ratio of one instructor to three trainees.
Aims & Structures
On passing the fork lift course operators receive a certificate which details the training received and to what type of equipment it relates. This is of course invaluable to any future employer who should check the certificate to ensure it matches the lifting equipment type being used. Training will also cover maintenance requirements and daily safety checks to minimize the chance of mechanical failure which may reduce safety and lead to accidents.
During the training the following subjects will be covered:
• Various classroom sessions
• Introduction to the forklift truck
• Controls and instruments
• Starting, moving and stopping the truck
• Hydraulic system
• Lift truck stability
• Weight assessment
• Handling laden and unladen pallets
• Driving on and off ramps
• Vehicle loading and unloading
• Operators safety code
This course can be delivered at Allied or the clients premises.
Certificates will be NORs Registered with RTITB.
